Dr. Sugam Vasani is a distinguished surgeon specializing in robotic-assisted procedures. Committed to surgical innovation and excellence in patient care, he has performed more than 2,000 robotic-assisted surgeries, placing him among the top 1% of robotic surgeons nationwide in 2023.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Vasani advances the field through research, mentorship, and education. He has contributed to medical literature through journal publications, proctoring, and national presentations. Recognized for his dedication to medical training, he received the Outstanding Preceptor Award from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. He is also an active member of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Vasani’s advanced training includes a hepatobiliary and transplant surgery fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, TX. He completed his general surgery residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, IL, and the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, where he was honored as an Outstanding Resident. He earned his medical degree with a gold medal from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India, followed by surgical training at St. John’s Hospital in Bangalore, India.
