Marc L. Costa, MD, FACS

General Surgery (Acute Care Surgery)

A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree, Marc L. Costa, MD, FACS, received his doctor of medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. His internship and residency in general surgery were both completed at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Dr. Costa was active in research at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, as well as writing for publication and making presentations at medical conferences.

He was also the former chairman of the Department of Surgery for Excela Health System and clinical director of their bariatric surgery program.

Dr. Costa is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons.
